The San Francisco 49ers have re-signed wide receiver Dante Pettis after a tryout. Pettis, who played for the 49ers in the past, was one of several players the 49ers evaluated. Among the players the 49ers looked at was Jerry Rice's son Brenden Rice. The team also cut a defensive lineman. The signing reunites Pettis with the 49ers after a previous unsuccessful try.
