The Scottish Government has committed a £14m funding injection to support the refurbishment of Glasgow's People's Palace and Winter Gardens. Total expenses for the museum project now pass £50m. The famous site to re-open the Glasgow museum and gardens has been shut for a prolonged period.
BBC and The Herald indicated the venue is scheduled to remain shut until 2029.
Elsewhere, infamous Glasgow pub the Louden has met its end. The Glasgow Bell reported on how one of Glasgow's most infamous pubs came to an end.
