Iran states that the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked to maritime ships. The waterway is completely shut. Iran and Oman are currently drafting a deal for a protected sea lane. Oman called the talks positive. At the same time, the United States is pausing further restrictions related to the conflict.
Iran also released a blacklist for oil tankers in Gulf waters. This list creates fresh hazards for moving crude across the region. Moving oil remains risky now. Iran and Oman keep talking about ship paths. Even so, Iran insists that the Strait stays closed.
