In Piddington village, residents held a referendum and chose to leave the UK due to an asylum centre proposal. Lisa Nandy responded to the vote. She stated the government will listen to the residents and take their views on board.

The government unveiled new 42 Young Futures Hubs across England. These hubs assist young people with challenges in life and offer guidance. Four hubs will be in Greater Manchester, following a pilot in the area. New hubs are planned for Lancashire, Blackpool, and the North East under the expansion plan.
