Tottenham Hotspur finalised an £85 million deal for midfielder Mateus Fernandes on Friday. West Ham United accepted the offer after prolonged discussions. Fernandes passed his medical and put pen to paper straight away. Manchester United made a bid earlier this year. Tottenham met West Ham’s valuation to close the deal. The midfielder will now link up with the squad before pre-season starts. The club confirmed the move after the paperwork was finalised late on Friday night.
