The upgrade facilities for park-and-ride and additional car parking, along with better facilities for cyclists, buses, and taxis. linked to wider Port Talbot regeneration efforts such as the Harbourside development and town-centre upgrades. Funding came from a mix of the Welsh Government, Network Rail, and European/other funds, with collaboration with Neath Port Talbot Council.
