Local officers detained a man from Kippens following a theft at a liquor store in Stephenville. Officers took the man into custody and found a knife on him when he was patted down during the arrest.

The Kippens resident now faces over 40 outstanding charges in addition to additional counts stemming from the liquor store theft in Stephenville. Officers found the knife on the suspect while executing the arrest. The man is scheduled for court appearances for the recent theft along with his more than 40 prior outstanding charges.
