The Rugby Football Union intends to offer England head coach Steve Borthwick an extended contract. The proposed deal would keep him in charge beyond the 2027 Rugby World Cup and past the 2028 Six Nations.
Borthwick would remain in charge of England at each tournament under the proposed agreement. His tenure as head coach would carry on after the next men's Rugby World Cup, before continuing through England's Six Nations campaign in the year that followed.
The new contract would leave him in charge after the 2028 tournament had ended.
