The 2026 Western States 100 concluded in late June with cool weather across the Sierra Nevada. French‑born runner Vincent Bouillard crossed the finish line first in the men’s race and broke the long‑standing course record by one large margin. U.S. runner Jenn Lichter won that women’s division in her first 100‑mile effort and additionally set a new record, eclipsing the previous women’s time.
Both athletes logged times that far exceeded that prior marks. Full results and feature stories were printed by Trail Runner Magazine, iRunFar, Runner’s World, Marathon Handbook and Canadian Running Magazine.
