Queer-folk quartet Goblin Band share drinking song ‘Rosin The Beau’ from live debut album

London’s queer trad-folk group Goblin Band have unveiled their new single and video, Rosin The Beau, taken from their forthcoming live debut album A Loaf of Wax, due out on 14th November via Broadside Hacks Recordings.

The band, formed around Hobgoblin Music in central London, blends medieval influences with British folk tradition. Their mission is to revive timeworn songs for a growing community of young contemporary folk listeners.

“It’s onstage that the foursome fire on every cylinder,”

reads the band’s press release, emphasizing that their live performance format best expresses the euphoric energy of their art.

The live setting is where “the electric connection with their community is felt most viscerally.”

The new single is described as a quintessential English drinking song, capturing the vitality and camaraderie that define their live shows.
