Jimin Says BTS 'Just Finished Recording' Their Comeback Album

Jimin Announces BTS Finished Recording Comeback Album

After a long hiatus due to mandatory military service, BTS members Jin, Jimin, V, Jungkook, RM, Suga, and J-Hope have reunited and completed their group album.

BTS's Return and Album Completion

BTS has been on break since 2022 while members served in the South Korean military or focused on solo projects. They regrouped in June 2025 and started recording their comeback album shortly after. On November 1, Jimin shared during a livestream:

“Guys, we just finished recording. Seeing you today, I really feel like promoting our music.”

The album is expected to release in spring 2026.

Impact of Solo Projects on Group Music

In April 2025, J-Hope discussed how their solo activities have shaped BTS’s next work in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1:

“I think that over time, we each refined our unique identities as each of us work on their own music, come out with their solo projects and do their own thing. The funny thing for me is when our identities, which have taken shape in various ways, come together as BTS. I’m curious to see how it’ll look like… I think it’s going to be a massive energy.”

What to Expect

BTS's comeback album promises a fusion of their evolved solo styles, generating great excitement among fans worldwide.
