Alan Carr, known for his role on Celebrity Traitors and his ITV sitcom Changing Ends, has been recruited by the BBC for a new format. The 49-year-old comedian has gained significant attention following his appearance as a Traitor on the popular BBC One gameshow.
According to The Sun, Alan was recently flown abroad to film a pilot for a prime-time quiz show featuring celebrity guests. This move follows rumors about a new TV deal for Carr, eight years after the end of his Channel 4 talk show, Chatty Man.
The new deal is expected to put Alan in direct competition with his Celebrity Traitors co-star Jonathan Ross, who recently renewed his contract to continue hosting The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV.
"Unquestionably, Alan is the hottest man on TV right now. Everyone wants a piece of him. But the BBC have acted quickly and last week he was jetted out to a swanky European city for a day of filming a pilot."
Alan Carr is rapidly becoming a leading TV figure, with the BBC securing him for a new celebrity quiz show, highlighting his rising popularity and competitive status in British television.
