Norrie started strongly, gaining a break in the fourth game to lead 3–1. Despite early composure, he lost focus toward the end of the set, committing several unforced errors. This shift allowed Jacquet to exploit openings and take control.
Two breaks of serve and five games in a row secured the opening set for Jacquet against a frustrated Norrie.
In the second set, both players maintained high intensity. Although Norrie struggled to read Jacquet’s serve, he improved his rhythm and reduced errors. The set proceeded evenly into a tiebreak, where Norrie’s composure and experience prevailed, leveling the score.
It was Norrie who dominated the tiebreak, using his experience to seize control and level the match at one set all.
In the decisive third set, both players held serve in tight games. Jacquet challenged Norrie again, applying pressure, but the Brit held firm to secure victory and book his place in the semi-final.
