Jennifer Lawrence Shares Paranormal Experiences in New Orleans
Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, known for starring in "The Hunger Games" series and "Silver Linings Playbook," has spoken about several ghostly encounters she experienced while filming her 2022 movie Causeway in New Orleans.
Supernatural Events During Filming
On the podcast Las Culturistas with hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, Lawrence described the hauntings she faced in New Orleans and Charlotte, North Carolina, as "really bad." While filming in New Orleans, she moved between several locations before settling into a hotel.
"I was in bed one day when I heard a housekeeper enter my room. As I got out from under the covers, she apologized for waking me and left."
Lawrence later realized her hotel door had been deadbolted, making it impossible for anyone to enter. She admitted she might have been drifting between sleep and wakefulness at the time.
"I don't know, I just come from a world where we believe women," Lawrence told Rogers.
Other Ghostly Encounters
Lawrence also recalled an earlier experience at a local house during the Causeway shoot where the kitchen doors kept slamming open and shut repeatedly while she was watching TV alone.
