Alex Scott Earns England Call-Up for World Cup Qualifiers
Guernsey midfielder Alex Scott has received a call-up to Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for November’s final World Cup qualifying matches. The selection follows his impressive performances since completing a £25 million transfer from Bristol City to Bournemouth.
Scott has quickly established himself in the Premier League, earning recognition from Tuchel and joining an elite group of Channel Islanders — including Matt Le Tissier and Graeme Le Saux — who have represented England at the senior level.
“He had an excellent [Under-21s] Euros, he won the title. Lee [Carsley] was full of praise; he did an excellent job in midfield with Elliot Anderson. He is a regular starter for Bournemouth, who are overperforming constantly, and he is a starter for them.”

England will return to Wembley on 13 November to face Serbia, followed by a match against Albania three days later.
