Hayley Williams has shared “Showbiz,” a surprise track from her third solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, which was officially released on vinyl today.
“Showbiz” joins “Good Ol Days” and “Parachute” as bonus tracks added after the initial 17-song release during summer. The album is released through Williams’ label, Post Atlantic, and distributed by Secretly Distribution.
Williams co-wrote “Showbiz” with producer and collaborator Daniel James, who contributed to the entire album. The song narrates a hazy romantic encounter in a club setting.
“I wanna do it again / I wanna dance in the strobe lights / I wanna choke on the smoke / And feel your eyes on me,”
Williams then questions the mutual significance of the moment.
The visualizer shows Nashville’s skyline paired with Williams’ distinctive scribbles featured throughout the album’s artwork.
Record stores worldwide celebrated the album’s vinyl release with “Ego Nite,” an event including playback of the record, exclusive merchandise, and physical copies of the LP.
