Development and Origins
Actor Jude Law and producing partner Ben Jackson met in a London pub in 2000 and co-founded Riff Raff Entertainment in 2017. The company has grown into a focused production house, producing Harry Wootliff’s True Things in 2021 and attracting investment from Calculus Capital in 2022.
Recent Work and Industry Relationships
- Before the US writers’ and actors’ strikes in 2023, Riff Raff completed Justin Kurzel’s The Order.
- They filmed the TV series Black Rabbit for Netflix after the industry resumed work.
Riff Raff has first-look deals with Anton for film and Studio TF1 for television. Ben Jackson explains:
“It’s win-win for us. We can take a project to them and they can put it with the team that likes the project.”
Future Vision
The company plans to expand by opening an office in Los Angeles and growing its development team to incorporate diverse voices.
