The Ministry of Public Works and Environment has issued a notice regarding garbage collection during the Remembrance Day holiday.
Key Details
- Garbage will not be collected on Tuesday, November 11, due to the holiday.
- Household waste scheduled for Tuesday will be collected on Wednesday, initiating a ‘roll-over’ collection process.
- Friday’s waste will instead be collected on Saturday.
- This week remains a recycling collection period; recycling days stay the same: west end on Thursday and east end on Friday.
- Household waste and recycling can be dropped off at Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off, open from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on November 11, resuming normal hours afterward.
