Former NFL star Antonio Brown has been returned to the United States to face trial over a shooting incident in Miami nearly six months ago. Police confirmed that Brown, aged 37, was extradited from Dubai and arrived in custody at Newark Airport in Essex County, New Jersey.
After the arrest warrant, Brown hired an attorney who secured a bond of $10,000, which included house arrest. Despite this, he did not return to South Florida and remained abroad. Marshals traveled overseas to bring him back to the US.
The shooting occurred around 3 a.m. on May 17 at 221 NE 67th St. Police responded after the ShotSpotter system detected gunfire, but no arrests or injuries were reported at the scene, despite questioning several witnesses.
Police confirmed Brown's extradition and ongoing trial for the Miami shooting, with no further specifics about his transfer to South Florida.
Antonio Brown faces legal proceedings following his extradition, with authorities remaining silent on some procedural details.
