Netflix reveals first look at Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 animated spinoff
Netflix has released the first teaser and images for Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, an animated spinoff set between seasons two and three of the acclaimed science fiction series. The new show revisits Hawkins, Indiana, in the chilly winter of 1985, where new supernatural dangers await.
“Welcome back to Hawkins in the stark winter of 1985, where the original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorizing their town.”
The spinoff reimagines familiar elements of the Stranger Things universe with a fresh cast of voice actors. Unlike the main live-action series, original cast members will not reprise their roles. Instead, the following actors bring the characters to life:
- Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven
- Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max
- Luca Diaz as Mike
- EJ (Elisha) Williams as Lucas
- Braxton Quinney as Dustin
- Ben Plessala as Will
- Brett Gipson as Hopper
Additional cast members include Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips. The series is helmed by showrunner Eric Robles. The creators of Stranger Things, Matt and Ross Duffer, serve as executive producers alongside Hilary Leavitt through Upside Down Pictures, and Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps.
