Vertical has unveiled the trailer for Rosemead, an upcoming drama inspired by Frank Shyong’s intense 2017 LA Times column. Directed by Eric Lin, the film features Lucy Liu as a mother battling illness who takes extreme steps to shield her troubled son from his deepening dark obsessions.
The story follows Liu’s character as she faces impossible decisions to protect her son, played by Lawrence Shou, and potentially others affected by his struggles. The cast also includes Orion Lee, Jennifer Lim, Madison Hu, and James Chen.
