The DP World Tour moves to the Middle East for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, with Masters champion Rory McIlroy leading the field at Yas Links.
The Northern Irish golfer is pursuing his seventh Race to Dubai title and enters the first of two playoff events holding a solid advantage over England’s Marco Penge.
“I’m not feeling too nervous about playing alongside the best player of my generation,” said Penge, adding that he aims to outdrive McIlroy on the opening tee.
McIlroy will compete alongside Penge and Tyrrell Hatton. Their group begins play on Thursday at 7:17 a.m. local time (3:17 a.m. GMT) and will have the final tee slot on Friday.
