Gallagher Securities hires Cassis from Swiss Re as Senior ILS Structurer
Gallagher Securities, the insurance-linked securities (ILS) and capital markets broker-dealer division of reinsurance broker Gallagher Re, has strengthened its structuring capabilities with the appointment of Caroline Cassis. She joins from Swiss Re, where she recently worked on catastrophe bond and ILS structuring.
This hire reflects Gallagher Re’s continued focus on expanding expertise within its specialist insurance-linked securities team. Cassis will report to Andras Bohm, who recently joined from BMS as Global Head of Structuring, and will be based in New York.
Cassis brings experience spanning reinsurance and capital markets. She began her career at BlackRock in 2017 on the private equity team in Zurich, then moved to Swiss Re as a private equity analyst, working across several international offices.
In 2020, she transitioned to Swiss Re’s reinsurance business development team in Zurich, later joining the capital markets division in 2022. Her new position as Senior ILS Structurer marks the latest step in her growing career within the sector.
