Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair's name has surfaced again in connection with a US-led initiative in Palestine called the “Peace Council.”
The Al-Akhbar newspaper reported that the agreement aims to establish a new mandate administration over the region. As a longtime US collaborator in Middle Eastern conflicts, Blair is reportedly preparing for roles not only in Palestine but elsewhere.
According to the report, Blair is planning to visit Beirut next week. He is expected to be accompanied by a delegation whose details remain unclear, though speculation suggests the team that supported him on Gaza issues might be involved.
“Blair will meet with all three leaders, but the appointments have not yet been set,” said sources familiar with the matter.
The exact purpose of Blair’s visit and the message he intends to deliver have not been disclosed.
Some analysts believe Blair may be assigned to oversee the implementation of a mandate plan for Lebanon, similar to the one reportedly being imposed in Gaza.
Blair could later be tasked with “overseeing the implementation of a new mandate plan intended to be imposed on Lebanon, similar to the one in Gaza."
Tony Blair is reportedly involved in a US initiative aiming to impose new administrative mandates in Palestine and Lebanon, with a potential upcoming mission in Beirut.
