Starting March 2026, Jetstar will operate flights from the Sunshine Coast to Denpasar three times per week using its A321neo LR fleet. This will add over 70,000 seats annually and provide onward connections to Singapore.
Jetstar plans to introduce a new route from the Sunshine Coast to Singapore via Bali next year.
“We’re proud to be the first airline to connect the Sunshine Coast to Bali and Singapore. It’s a great win for travellers wanting an easy international getaway,” said Jetstar chief executive Stephanie Tully.
Direct flights to Bali will save travellers hours of road travel to Brisbane, offering them more time to enjoy the island's unique attractions.
“Jetstar is proud to be the largest carrier operating in South-East Queensland and we’re excited to continue expanding our network to meet strong low fares demand,” added Stephanie Tully.
This will be Jetstar’s tenth direct route between Australia and Bali, and the fourth from Queensland. Earlier this year, Jetstar launched services between Gold Coast and Denpasar.
According to Chris Mills, chief executive of Sunshine Coast Airport, the new direct flights to Bali represent a major milestone for the region.
“For the first time, locals can fly direct to Bali for an island holiday. Our research shows that this is a highly sought after destination for locals,” Mills said.
Moreover, the flight will continue from Bali to Singapore after a brief stop, connecting the Sunshine Coast to a major global hub.
Jetstar’s new Sunshine Coast-Bali-Singapore service, launching in 2026, will offer convenient international travel options, boost local tourism, and expand affordable flight choices for Southeast Queensland residents.
