Edinburgh Trams to Commemorate Remembrance Day
Edinburgh Trams will observe Remembrance Sunday (9 November) and Armistice Day (11 November) to honor those who lost their lives in World War I, World War II, and recent conflicts.
Free Travel for Veterans and Serving Forces
On both days, Edinburgh Trams will offer free travel to veterans and active members of the Army, Navy, and Air Force. To access this, individuals need only show their military ID or wear their uniform.
Remembrance Activities
- Members of Poppy Scotland will be at Haymarket tram stop selling poppies in the days leading up to Remembrance Day.
- Poppies will also be displayed in tram windows as a sign of respect.
- Tram services will pause at 11 a.m. on both days, where safe, to observe a two-minute silence.
