Lionsgate has reached a significant agreement with Millennium Media, obtaining worldwide distribution rights for key action franchises "Rambo" and "The Expendables."
International sales for John Rambo will launch at the American Film Market (AFM) in Los Angeles. The film will be directed by Finnish director Jalmari Helander, known for Sisu.
Noah Centineo, familiar for roles in Black Adam and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, is in final talks to star in the lead role originally made famous by Sylvester Stallone in the 1980s.
Production is anticipated to start next year in Thailand.
Lionsgate was the distributor for all previous Expendables films in North America and the United Kingdom.
