Noah Centineo is in final talks to star in the upcoming Rambo prequel, as Lionsgate partners with Millennium Films to develop new projects within the franchise and The Expendables series.
Lionsgate has secured a multifaceted agreement with Millennium Films that grants rights to produce and develop all derivative works of The Expendables franchise, including future films and television productions. This deal also covers worldwide distribution rights for John Rambo, the forthcoming prequel to the Rambo film series.
Under this deal, Lionsgate becomes the primary studio and production partner with Millennium for all upcoming Rambo television projects. The agreement also grants Lionsgate opportunities to participate in future Rambo films.
"This deal expands Lionsgate’s portfolio of genre-defining action franchises and reinforces our commitment to delivering world-class IP across multiple platforms," said Lionsgate COO Brian Goldsmith.
The agreement also covers derivative films and television series, video games, immersive experiences, and other cross-platform extensions of The Expendables franchise.
