BIRMINGHAM – After securing a regular season finale victory, the UAB women's soccer team (7-5-6, 4-3-3) enters the American Championships as the No. 4 seed. They face No. 5 seed UTSA (8-5-5, 4-3-3) on Monday, November 3.
The Blazers lead the all-time series against UTSA 4-2-4. Their most recent encounter was a 1-1 draw in Birmingham in September.
UAB closed the regular season with a 3-2 win over North Texas. Key players Lailah Stewart, Abbey Burns, and Caitlin Keeling scored, with Burns assisting both Stewart and Keeling. Lauren Lucero provided an assist on Burns' goal.
UTSA earned a 3-1 victory against Temple on Thursday. Zoe May leads UTSA with five goals, followed by Michelle Polo with four.
