An international photo exhibition exploring Kazakhstan’s historical and cultural legacy has opened at the National Historical Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event will run for two weeks and is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, the Central State Museum of Kazakhstan, the National Historical Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Kyrgyzstan.
The display presents a series of expressive photographs capturing the life and traditions of the Kazakh people, as well as portraits of remarkable figures in Kazakhstan’s history and culture.
“The exhibition aims to once again highlight the friendship between two fraternal nations that share a common language, culture, history, and traditions,” said Nazgul Assylbekova, research fellow at the Central State Museum of Kazakhstan.
According to Assylbekova, the exhibition also features exact replicas of musical instruments that belonged to Abai Kunanbayev, Zhambyl Zhabayev, Dina Nurpeissova, and Kenen Azirbayev. Visitors are encouraged to engage directly with these cultural artifacts, experiencing history through sight and touch.
This exhibition in Bishkek presents a vivid photographic journey through Kazakhstan’s cultural history, strengthening ties between the Kazakh and Kyrgyz peoples.
