GitHub Actions now supports up to 10 nested reusable workflows and allows calling up to 50 workflows from a single run. Previously, the limits were 4 nested and 20 total workflows. These updates significantly enhance automation scalability and improve collaboration.
The new M2-powered macOS runners are now generally available. Developers can use labels such as macos-latest-xlarge, macos-15-xlarge, macos-14-xlarge, or macos-13-xlarge to run workflows with better performance and GPU acceleration.
You can now access the GitHub Copilot coding agent without enabling GitHub Actions for your organization. This provides more flexibility for managing automation and AI-assisted development.
