No More Workhorse caught up with Peter Milton Walsh of The Apartments to discuss the release of their new album. You can read Part 1 of the interview here.

Tour Plans

NMW: Are you planning to tour to promote the album?

PMW: Yes, probably in spring 2026.

Performing Experience

NMW: How do you find performing these days?

PMW: I am further along the road now, and the people who come to shows aren’t half-hearted fans. Those who turn up genuinely care about the music.

I played a show over 40 years ago, in 1982 or 1983, with The Laughing Clowns, Ed Kuepper’s quartet. We performed with Sonic Youth in a Berlin loft. Thurston Moore once said, "You’ve got beer countries and you’ve got wine countries. Sonic Youth tends to do well in the beer countries, Germany, the UK, and America." I had no idea what wine countries were — Spain, France, Italy. I thought, I’d like to play in a wine country since I came from a beer country.

The New York I imagined before moving there was the one from 1976–77 — the era of Talking Heads, Television, Patti Smith, and the Ramones.

Would you like the summary to be more formal or conversational?
