Adelaide Metro is providing free train, tram, and bus services on Saturday, November 8, to help people travel to and from the annual National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant, the largest public street parade in the Southern Hemisphere.
Free public transport will be available from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., allowing families to secure spots behind the Blue Honour Line before Father Christmas arrives. Hundreds of thousands are expected to attend.
Tram services will not run on King William Street or the eastern part of North Terrace during the morning, as these streets form part of the pageant route. However, trams will operate between the Entertainment Centre and Adelaide Railway Station.
Some bus stops in the CBD will close, but services will aim to bring passengers as close to the pageant route as possible.
Several road closures will take place in the city to ensure the safety of all attendees during the pageant.
