Memphis Caniacs, the wait is nearly over—Raising Cane's will open its first restaurant within Memphis city limits on Germantown Parkway this December. This new spot will be the chain's second in the Memphis area. The site was formerly occupied by Bed Bath & Beyond.
Raising Cane's specializes in hand-battered, marinated chicken fingers, served fresh with crinkle-cut fries and its signature dipping sauce. The menu also includes coleslaw and Texas toast. The restaurant affectionately calls its devoted customers "Caniacs".
The first Memphis-area Raising Cane’s opened in June at 357 Goodman Road in Southaven and has consistently seen long drive-thru lines. Similar to that launch, the new location will offer “free Cane's for a year” giveaways on opening day.
A third Raising Cane's is planned for the former Red Lobster location at 7750 Winchester Road in Hickory Hill, near Top Golf.
Founded in 1996 by LSU students, Raising Cane's has grown into one of the fastest-expanding large restaurant chains in the U.S., now operating nearly 750 locations across 42 states.
