Charity Support Pledge by Winner

Steven Bean, 52, one of the triple-ticket winners, pledged part of his prize money to a charity supporting adults with learning difficulties. He and his wife, Olesya, plan to donate some of their quarter-of-a-million-pound prize to Camphill Milton Keynes.

“The first thing I’m going to do is give some money to a charity who had a bus stolen and burned.”

On October 9, Camphill Milton Keynes reported that its only minibus had been stolen and later found set on fire.

“The bus is insured, but it won’t cover the cost of getting a new one. Hopefully other people will give them a few quid too.”

Lucy Davies, Camphill’s head of development, commented on the incident:

“It has been a very difficult time for our residents who have found this situation very confusing and upsetting.”
