Technicians left a 33-centimeter work lamp within the wing of a Qantas Airbus A380. The ATSB disclosed that the plane flew for two days with the work light inside before anyone found it. The 33-centimeter device stayed in the wing during those flights as the Qantas plane flew.
The Qantas Airbus A380 travelled to Texas and back while the maintenance light remained inside the wing. Engineers left the device inside the jet wing during checks. The jet finished its flights to Texas and back over two days before someone finally found the work light in the wing.
