Ed Husic, Australia’s Industry Minister, lamented Labour’s internal culture after his plan to permit a discussion on recognising Gaza was rejected.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese allegedly described his outburst at a conference as incompetent.
Husic responded by saying he was unperturbed by criticism, telling reporters: "put me in a ice box, I don't care at all."
The dispute followed previous efforts to push the party to officially acknowledge events in Gaza as genocide.
Party documents and internal files were later filed that revealed deep divisions within Labour’s ranks over strategy and leadership.
