An amateur skygazer using Google Maps stumbled upon a wide circular hollow in northern Quebec. Staff at Quebec’s geological survey confirmed it is a enormous meteorite impact crater dating back 390 million years near Lake Mistassini. The ground formation mirrors other confirmed craters and signals a cataclysmic long-ago blow. Satellite images were compared in detail field data to validate the finding.
