Humana is ending a number of Medicare Advantage plans in 2027. Non-renewal notices are scheduled to be sent in early October. One report says up to 600,000 members could be affected. A separate tally says 64,000 seniors at risk of losing coverage. The letters are scheduled to be mailed in early October, as planned.

The company has not specified which counties or plan types are being eliminated. This leaves affected beneficiaries a short period to weigh options during Medicare open enrollment. The carrier has not released a list of affected plans.
