Latest News About Marines Come Home After Pacific Fleet Missions

Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and sailors serving aboard the USS Tripoli returned to the United States on Wednesday. They wrapped up tours assigned to the 5th and 7th Fleets. Meanwhile, several Marines and sailors stationed in Okinawa went back to their Japan post after missions connected with the Iran situation. The Tripoli moored at its home port in Okinawa, ending its deployment. The U.S. Marines and the Royal Australian Air Force completed joint drills at Dyess under the Trident Fury program this week. In Vancouver, the police marine unit recovered a seven-day-old seal pup that was left on its own.
