IGN published an article on August 27, 2026. Stories landed that date. GameSpot carried the report. Polygon shared it too. They state the GTA 6 map is three times the size of Red Dead Redemption 2. The map is twice as huge as GTA 5. They label it Rockstar's most complex world yet.
Eurogamer gave those figures the same day. The game also has 600,000 unique animations. That is double the animation work that was built for Red Dead Redemption 2. Players now gain a full look at how huge the next Rockstar title will be.
