World Space Week 2026 is taking place from October 4 to 10 under the theme "Rocket Revolution," focused on how falling launch costs could make space available to more countries and organisations. Google marked the occasion with a dedicated Doodle, while Adafruit took part in activities linked to the week.
The European Space Agency joined forces with Pokemon GO to offer a limited-time Astronaut Pikachu to players during the week. Katara also took part in the event. World Space Week is the largest annual space event on Earth, marked in more than 90 countries.
