The Duke of Sussex’s spokesman dismissed suggestions that Prince Harry’s announcement of a visit to Canada was intended to overshadow Prince William’s official trip to Brazil for the Earthshot Prize tour.
One royal expert described the timing clash as “predictable,” but Harry’s team clarified that it was not driven by sibling rivalry.
“It means therefore, that the period of time in which we can release details of events is much more truncated than it is for His Majesty the King or the Prince of Wales.”
The statement highlighted that Harry receives less security and protection compared to senior working members of the Royal Family, which affects when event details can be shared publicly.
Prince Harry refuted any notion of rivalry with Prince William, explaining that differences in royal security protocols impact the timing of public announcements.
