Los Ratones and Karmine Corp Blue Join LEC 2026 Versus Tournament
Two European Regional League representatives, Los Ratones and Karmine Corp Blue, are set to compete in the inaugural LEC 2026 Versus competition. The event will debut in early 2026, replacing the Winter Split as part of a reworked EMEA League of Legends format.
Karmine Corp Blue’s Achievement
Karmine Corp Blue, the academy roster of French organisation Karmine Corp, secured its spot in the tournament after a commanding win in the EMEA Masters 2025 on November 2nd. The team defeated Los Heretics in the Grand Final, earning a direct ticket to LEC 2026 Versus alongside its parent roster, already one of the ten LEC partner teams.
Los Ratones’ Road to Qualification
Los Ratones, an organisation founded by Marc Robert ‘Caedrel’ Lamont, qualified thanks to its strong ERL performances throughout 2025. The team claimed three NLC titles and two EMEA Masters championships, solidifying its reputation as one of Europe’s most consistent regional contenders.
Competition Format
The addition of Karmine Corp Blue and Los Ratones brings the total number of participating teams to twelve. They will face off in single-round-robin matches, with the top eight advancing to the Playoffs. The postseason will feature a double-elimination bracket to crown the champion.
