The latest episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! was unexpectedly canceled on Thursday, November 6, and removed from the schedule without explanation. David Duchovny, Joe Keery, and Madison Beer were set to appear on the show, but instead, a previous episode featuring Tessa Thompson, Daymond John, and The Beths was re-broadcast.
Neither Jimmy Kimmel nor ABC have publicly commented on the sudden cancellation. Madison Beer, 26, addressed the issue on social media, explaining her performance was postponed.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, @jimmykimmellive needed to reschedule my performance that was originally scheduled to air tonight to a later date.”
This unexpected change follows the show’s indefinite suspension two months earlier after controversial remarks made by Kimmel about Charlie Kirk. In September, ABC confirmed to Us Weekly that Jimmy Kimmel Live! would be “pre-empted indefinitely.”
“The MAGA Gang [is] desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said on the show, referring to Tyler Robinson’s arrest for Kirk’s murder. “In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving.”
The sudden cancellation of the episode remains unexplained publicly, following past controversies that led to the show’s indefinite suspension over politically charged comments by Jimmy Kimmel.
