Elder Gérald Caussé recently became the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is originally from Bordeaux, France, and is 62 years old.
Before his new calling, Elder Caussé served eleven years as the Presiding Bishop of the Church. Earlier, he was a General Authority, serving in Germany and later in the United States from 2008 to 2012.
He has been married to his wife, Valérie, for 30 years, and together they have five children.
