On Thursday, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced that Elder Gérald Caussé will join the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. He fills the vacancy left by the passing of President Russell M. Nelson.
The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles represents the highest leadership authority in the church. As reported by the Church newsroom,
“Apostles are special witnesses of the name of Christ throughout the world. They also engage in significant administrative responsibilities, overseeing the operation and development of a global church.”
Elder Gérald Caussé’s extensive leadership experience prepares him to serve as a key figure in guiding the global church as the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
