Announcing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26220.7070 (Dev & Beta Channels)
Hello Windows Insiders, today we are releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26220.7070 (KB5070300) to both the Dev and Beta Channels on Windows 11, version 25H2.
If you are in the Dev Channel, you now have a limited opportunity to switch to the Beta Channel. This option is available only while we release the same 25H2-based updates to both channels.
Once the Dev Channel advances to a higher build number, this switching window will close. Future Dev builds may be less stable than the current ones, so please consider carefully which channel best suits your needs during this period.
We document changes for Dev and Beta Channel builds in two categories:
- New features, improvements, and fixes gradually rolling out to Insiders who opt in to receive the latest updates immediately (via Settings > Windows Update).
- New features, improvements, and fixes being rolled out to all users in both channels.
"When the Dev Channel jumps ahead, things might not be as stable as the Dev Channel is today, so we highly encourage you to evaluate which channel you would like to be in during the time in which the window to switch is open."
This update provides users with flexibility to choose their Insider experience while maintaining transparency about stability and feature rollouts.
