Only an ID and Mail Required to Register for Kendall County Food Assistance
With ongoing uncertainty about funding for SNAP recipients, the Kendall County Community Food Pantry states that registering for assistance is straightforward. Executive Director Alex Hurd encourages people to visit the pantry in person to register.
Registration Details
Visit the pantry Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to ensure staff availability. Applicants need to fill out a brief application that takes about five minutes.
- Bring a valid photo ID proving residency in Kendall, LaSalle, or DeKalb counties.
- Bring a piece of mail with an address matching the ID.

Pantry Distribution and Contact
The pantry experienced record-high attendance last week. Food distribution happens on Thursdays at noon at 208 Beaver Street, Yorkville. Visitors may receive assistance:
- Twice during months with four Thursdays
- Three times during months with five Thursdays
