Mail shipments from Bermuda to Canada will restart next week despite ongoing rolling strikes at Canada Post. The Bermuda Post Office (BPO) confirmed that mail services to Canada will resume on Monday, but delivery delays might continue due to ongoing disruptions.
“The BPO appreciates the public’s patience and co-operation during this time.”
Mail delivery between Bermuda and Canada was halted in late September following a nationwide strike at Canada Post. Recently, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers shifted from a full national strike to a rotating strike, enabling partial resumption of mail services.
The Bermuda Post Office also announced that all local branches will close at noon tomorrow for a staff event.
“The BPO apologises for any inconvenience this early closure may cause.”
